Our Pastor-Ernst Roger Pflug-is a midwestern lad, having been born in a small town outside of Chicago, Illinois. He graduated
from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1958 and went forth to the great state of Texas, where he served various churches
during a 51/2 year stay.
In 1964, he came to New York, having accepted a call to Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Bayside,
and in 1981 was called as pastor to Christ the Shepherd church. For the past 10 years has been "shepherding the flock" at
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, in Flushing. Pastor considers himself blessed to be part of one of the fastest-growing Lutheran
churches in Queens...a vibrant, diverse congregation, in a diverse neighborhood.
He is the proud father of 4 daughters
and 10 grand-kids, and is happily married to Linda, a former corporate assistant in a multi-national oil company, a driving
force in the congregation, and a faithful helpmate and companion to her husband.
